signs deal to co-sponsor the Zebras for 3-years

Gaborone: BancABC today announced that it has concluded a landmark agreement with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) to sponsor the senior national football team - the Zebras.

The 3-year sponsorship deal with the Zebras sees BancABC join Orange Botswana as the secondary sponsor of the national team. The BancABC partnership has potential total value of P8.3 million to BFA over the sponsorship period. BancABC would like to thank Orange Botswana for having opened up the sponsorship platform.

Tebogo Sebego the President of the Botswana Football Association said "BancABC is the fastest growing commercial bank in the country and it is only fitting that the Zebras should associate itself with BancABC. The partnership is a milestone towards the development of the game and the commercial gains by BancABC into the Zebras brand. Botswana football couldn't have asked for a better partner".

Jitto Kurian the Managing Director of BancABC Botswana said "the Zebras have enormous potential, and its appeal and following in Botswana is unrivalled. We are very happy to be the first bank to become an official sponsor of the Zebras. We look forward to supporting them in their quest to qualify for the Orange Africa Cup of Nations - South Africa 2013 and the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014".

Stephanie Stoneham the Country Marketing Manager for BancABC Botswana said "we are humbled to be the first bank in Botswana to make this monumental commitment to the national team and pleased to be a proud supporter of the team that is closest to the hearts of Batswana across the length and breadth of this country. We look forward to working with the BFA and the team as they seek to scale new heights and climb up the FIFA rankings".
